Nathan has made yet another cut, his 17th in 22 starts in his rookie
season, and is at three under par for the tournament at the John Deere
Classic
An even par round of 71, with two birdies and
two bogeys, was good enough to finish inside the two under par cut line
and although he slipped from 26th to 57th he is still within striking
distance of a good finish in the tournament.
Nathan
opened his round by missing a very good chance for birdie at his first
hole (the tenth) and that set the tone ot some extent for his putting
for the remainder of the round. He created several good opportunities
through the front nine which he missed although he did convert one from
11 feet at the his 7th hole.
At his tenth hole he made a
ten footer for birdie but struggled through the next few holes and was
forced to save par from bunkers on one or two occasions.
At
his 15th hole he hit a great tee shot and a good second to fifteen feet
but three putted for bogey to slip back to three under which is where
he would stay.
