A brilliant birdie at his final hole of round two of the Transitions Championship has earned Nathan a place in the weekend field at the Innisbrook Resort at Palm Harbour, providing the opportunity for more 'game time' as he prepares for his debut at Augusta National in three weeks time.
A bogey at his 15th hole appeared as if it might cost him the opportunity to play the final 36 holes but knowing he needed a birdie at his final hole he hit a superb approach from the fairway bunker to 15 feet and holed that to make the cut on the number.
Nathan is scheduled to play next week's event at Bay Hill then have the week of the Houston Open off prior to the Masters so the chance to further sharpen his game under tournament conditions this weekend is important.
