Nathan has made the cut at the Memorial Tournament in Columbus in Ohio, a second successive round of 72 having him at even par and in 52nd position heading into the weekend.
A bogey at the first after finding the fairway bunker was not the ideal start although he was able to secure several good par saves before his first birdie of the day at the par five 7th.
Trouble was looming when Nathan found the water left of the fairway at the 11th and took bogey and he dropped another at the very next when he was unable to get up and down from the back bunker at the par three 12th.
Any concerns about the cut were put to bed when Nathan birdied the 14th from 15 feet and then again at the 16th when an excellent tee shot at the lengthy par three was rewarded.
