Nathan has added a second round of 71 to his opening round of 70 at the Verizon Heritage Classic at Hilton Head Island in South Carolina and at 1 under for the tournament is in 27th position as the tournament heads into the weekend. 

Three dropped shots in his last three holes cost him a challenging position however as through 15 holes of his round he was at four under and at that point inside the top ten.

Nathan bogeyed his 16th hole when he found the bunker short of the green at the par three, then dropped another at the next when his drive caught the trees and he could not reach the green and finished with another bogey when he missed the fairway and the green at the par four 9th (his last of the day after starting at the 10th).
