nathan_at_australian_open_resizeA late bogey in his second round of the Shell Houston Open has cost Nathan the chance of making it to through to the final 36 holes of the event at the Redstone Golf Club.

After an opening round of 73 had him behind the eightball in terms of making the cut, Nathan made a good start to round two moving to three under through 8 holes and at 2 under for the tournament at that point his chances of making the 1 under cut looked good.

A bogey at the 9th, after missing the green at the par three, had him on the cut line and when he bogeyed the 12th after coming up short with his approach from just 85 yards, he was outside the cutline. A birdie at the par five 13th had him back inside the cut but at the 16th he found the front bunker and could not get up and down. He was unable to create realistic chances at either of the final two holes and he missed by one.

Nathan will now take next week off due to it being Masters week, his next start expected to be at the Verizons Tournament at Harbour Town in two weeks time.
