Nathan has finished in a share of 42nd at the Buick Invitational after a final round of 76 cost him a chance of a reasonable week.

Nathan earned US$17,000 for his week and will now take next week off before returning to the PGA Tour at the Northern Trust Open in Los Angeles.

"My game's been ok although I putted woefully the last two weeks. I feel like I have let some good weeks slip by. Last week in the last round I struggled with all parts of game and became impatient and frustrated. I'm looking forward to the week off."
