Nathan has finished 48th at the Verizon Heritage Classic at Hilton Head Island, a perhaps disappointing final round of 73 costing him any chance of a better finish.

An early birdie from the greenside trap at the par five 2nd got the round off to a good start today but bogies at the 4th, 11th and 15th  saw him slip back to finish with a two over 73. There was an improved effort overall on the greens this week but on the tight turning fairways Nathan struggled, his statistics telling the story of a game that is still not at its best.

Nathan's cheque for US$14,000 takes his season's earnings to US$162,000.

Nathan will now play this coming week's Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
