Nathan has bowed out of the Australian Open after failing to recover from his opening round of 75. Nathan played late on day one in the tough afternoon conditions and then on Friday got caught in the debacle of the play delays.
Despite a shaky start, Nathan was still in the hunt when he birdied his 8h and 9th holes of round two but he struggled over the closing stages to finish with a round of 78 and at 9 over he would miss the cut by 4 shots.
Nathan heads home for a couple of days rest and relaxation before heading north to Coolum for his final event of the year at the Australian PGA Championship.
