Nathan has missed the cut at the Barclays Championship in Jersey City after a second round of 77 cost him his chance of making the weekend. It was a narrow miss however, Nathan's bogey at the last eventually costing him the chance to make further progress over the weekend.

Playing early on day two in the inclement weather that prevailed throughout the morning, Nathan struggled early in his round,a triple bogey at the 9th after driving it in the water left had him well behind the eightball. Nathan fought back to give himself a chance of making the cut before a bogey at the last, after finding the front bunker, cost him the crucial shot. 

Nathan has lost several places on the Fed Ex Cup points table but now just outside the  top 50, he will play next week's Deutsche Bank Championship in Boston.
