Nathan has finished with a final round of 71 at the Turning Stone Resort Championship in Verona, New York, eventually finishing in 64th position in the tournament.
Nathan will now have the week off next week while the Presidents Cup tournament is played in San Francisco before returning to play the Justin Timberlake event in Las Vegas which at this stage will be the last event of his season.
Nathan bounced back from a poor start to his final round with three birdies in his last eight holes although he has struggled all week on the greens at the Atonyute Golf Club.
Interestingly Nathan is just one shot behind the leader in the US$1 million dollar Kodak Challenge in which players play selected holes throughout the season and are ranked according to par in the leading 18 holes they play. Nathan birdied the nominated hole in this week's event, the par three 11th and moves within one shot of the leader, Kevin Streelman.
There are nominated holes in each of the last four events of the season but with Nathan only likely to play one more event his chances of earning the huge prize appear slim despite the fact that he has already played enough holes. He said today he would consider his position after the tournament in Las Vegas as the potential US$1 million is a tempting prospect.
