Nathan is just two shots behind the lead at the completion of 36 holes of the rain delayed Canadian Open at Glen Abbey. Forced to return to the golf course on Saturday to complete six holes of his second round, Nathan bogeyed the 14th but then birdied the 15th and 18th holes to move within two of the leader at the halfway mark, Jerry Kelly. Rain prevented the strat of round three and 36 holes will be played on Sunday to hopefully complete the tournament on time
Nathan had made a brilliant start to his second round on Friday with birdies at the opening four holes and had moved to six under for the day when play was finally called at 7.30pm on Friday evening.
Nathan's two birdies on his return came at the par three 14th when his tee shot finished 7 feet from the hole and at the par five 18th when he missed the green left with his second and then hit a delightful bunker shot to 6 feet and made if for a birdie and a round of 65.
Nathan will play in the second to last group on Sunday with Martin Laird and Peter Tomasulo.
