Nathan will head for San Diego this week for the newly named Farmer's Insurance Open at Torrey Pines. While the event may carry a new name it is essentially the tournament we have known as the Buick Invitational over the last eighteen years or so.

The event is played over the North and South courses at Torrey Pines to the north of  San Diego.

It was at this tournament and at this venue when Nathan made such a dramatic early statement in his PGA Tour career by playing his way into a playoff against Tiger Woods and Jose Maria Olazabal in 2006 before finishing joint runner up behind Woods.

"I played well for three rounds at Kapalua two weeks ago and last week played well although I did get a little 'steery' on the Sunday," said Nathan referring to his first two events of the year. I" haven't done too much early this week but will work hard over the next few days before heading over the San Diego."

Nathan has an early tee time on day one when he will play the North Course with Boo Weekley and Chris Stroud.
