Nathan has made the field for this week's BMW Championship at Cog Hill after waiting over the final two days of the Deutsche Bank Championship to see if he would be included in the 70 players who would advance from that event to the third Fed Exd Cup playoff event near Chicago.
Despite missing the cut last week in Boston, Nathan remained inside the top 70 eventually finishing in 65th position when Fed Ex Cup points were assessed at the completion of the play at the TPC Boston today.
The leading 30 in the Fed Ex Cup rankings at the completion of the BMW will move forward to play the Tour Championship in Atlanta starting on September 24th.
Nathan has played the Cog Hill layout well previously having finished 30th and 14th in his two visits to this event when played at this venue. Nathan did not play the event last year when it was held elsewhere.
