A second round of 64 has not only seen Nathan leap into a strong
position at the end of day two at the US Bank Championship in Milwaukee, but by
completing his round early he has avoided the weather enforced darkness
delay that many will face and can now contemplate the prospect of a
third round in contention.
With still half the field
yet to complete their second rounds, Nathan finds himself in a share fo
third place, three shots behind the current leader Corey Pavin who
still has seven holes to play on his return to the course on Saturday
morning.
Nathan was out early on day two looking to
get his first round completed before he started his second round. He
made a fast start with two early birdies but then dropped shots at his
fifth and sixth holes but finished with a flurry, recording three
birdies in his last five holes for 67.
Returning to the
course not long after completing round one, Nathan took up where he
left off, making the turn in 30 and then adding two further birdies at
the two par fives late in his round for a second round of 64.
