Nathan has missed the cut at the Players Championship and will take next week off before the two events in his home region of Dallas / Fort Worth, the Byron Nelson and the Crowne Plaza Colonial Invitational.

Nathan was unable to improve on his opening round of even par 72 which he needed to do if he was to make the 1 under par cut. He was travelling along well enough at even par through his first eight holes before a pulled tee shot at the par four 18th (his 9th of the day) put him well behind the eight ball as he made the turn.

A birdie at the 2nd after a great approach from the fairway bunker gave him some hope but he would eventually finish with a round of 74 to miss by three.
