Nathan is in the Hunter Valley this week where he will play host to the New South Wales Open Championship at the Vintage Golf Club.

Invited several weeks ago by the New South Wales Golf Association to play a role in further enhancing what has developed as a high quality event, Nathan was quick to respond, aware of the role the NSWGA and the Hunter Valley region had played in his own development in the game.

Nathan's Canadian Open win earlier this year will ensure even more fans from the Newcastle region turn out this week but they will also be there to see another Novacastrian success story in action this week when James Nitties tees it up.

Nathan's role is to not only play the tournament but to involve himself in some of the functions which have been arranged for the week including that on Friday night when he will be interviewed by the MC of the night John Newcombe who will also play in the pro am side of the event.
