nathan_australian_open__2Nathan has finished 28th at the Buick Open which, given that it came a week after his first PGA Tour victory, was a very good tournament.

A final round of 68 on what was a breezy day at the Warwick Hills Country Club saw Nathan improve from his overnight 50th position. An eagle at the 7th hole the highlight after a second shot from nearly 290 yards set up a 50 foot eagle putt which was converted.

It was a pretty solid week all round for Nathan, his putting continuing the improvement it showed last week after what had been a period of inconsistency.

Nathan will now head across to Akron in Ohio for this week's World Golf Championship Bridgestone Invitational in which he gained a start courtesy of his Canadian Open win.

Kodak Challenge Update

Nathan has taken a share of the lead in the inaugural Kodak Challenge on the PGA Tour, his birdie at the 17th hole in round one of the Buick Open moving him into a tie for first place with Kevin Streelman who did not play in Grand Blanc.

Players must complete a minimum of 18 of the 30 Kodak Challenge holes to compete for the $1 million prize. At the end of the season players are allowed to select their best 18 Kodak Challenge scores. The Kodak Challenge continues on August 6 at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in Akron, OH and the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open in Reno. NV.

The hole in use this week in Ohio, where Nathan has a start, is the monster par five 16th measuring more than 660 yards.
