nathan-at-royal-sydney---anAfter having initially being asked a month ago if he would be interested in playing a role at the NSW Open at the Vintage Golf Club in Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley, Nathan will now be involved in not only playing the event but in being the tournament's host.

"They (NSW golf) asked about a month ago if I was interested," said Nathan today from Las Vegas where he is well positioned after the second round of the Justin Timberlake event.

"I was thinking about playing anyway and being my hometown I thought it would be a good event to get behind. I've known Greg Mills from NSW Golf since he ran the Jack Newton Junior Golf Founation and just being asked by him and that he thought I might be able to help the event somehow was a pretty big honour."

"It's a great course in the best area of Australia and I'm looking forward to playing in what looks like is going to be a strong field and a great leadup to the Australian Open."

The tournament will be held from  November 26th - 29th.

Back to the Justin Timberlake and Nathan's second round of 66 at the event being staged at the low scoring TPC Summerlin has him in a share of 23rd position and five behind the joint leaders Chad Campbell and Troy Matteson.
