Nathan today recorded a third round of three under 68 at the John Deere Classic but the nature of the scoring on day three would mean that he would make only limited progress in the event. In very hot conditions the scoring matched the conditions for most of the field.
"I didnt hit it well early but salvaged some good pars, said Nathan after his round. "I played well in the middle but after bogeying the 3rd (my 12th) I struggled on the way in, apart from my birdie at the 7th. My whole game is not quite sharp. I'm hitting good shots occasionally but no consistency with shape or flight. I'm looking for a solid round tomorrow and then will work on a few things next week which I am taking off."
Nathan is in 50th place at five under.
