Nathan has missed the cut at the Reno Tahoe Open, a triple bogey 8 at the par five 9th in round two costing him any chance of making it to the weekend at the Montreaux Golf and Country Club..
An opening round of 73 was never a great start but through 8 holes of his second round, Nathan was still well enough placed to make the cut score of 3 over. A pulled drive at the 9th hole and struggles to clear the rough led to the triple and although he rallied back with two birdies early in the back nine, a poor pitch at the 17th cost him a crucial bogey. Nathan finished with a round of 75 and missed playing the weekend by just one shot. Nathan will now head for Toronto in Canada for this week's Canadian Open where he defends the title he won last year in a playoff with Retief Goosen. This week's event is at a new venue, the Jack Nicklaus designed St Goerges Golf and Country Club. Nathan won last year's event at the Jack Nicklaus designed Glenn Abbey just outside of Toronto.
